Bowtie Kids Receives $20,000 For Therapeutic Gardening

Grant made possible by the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF BROWARD

Bowtie Kids, an impact-driven organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children and young adults aged 5-21 affected by chronic pain and their families, is thrilled to announce the receipt of a $20,000 grant. The grant, awarded as part of the 2023 Small Nonprofits Grant program, will support the expansion of Bowtie Gardens, the organization’s therapeutic, urban gardening program. This grant was made possible by the Community Foundation of Broward.

The Small Nonprofits Grant initiative by the Community Foundation of Broward aims to provide financial support to diverse, up-and-coming nonprofits, enabling them to address unmet community needs and sustain their valuable work. Bowtie Kids is honored to be selected as a grant recipient and remains committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by chronic pain in our community.

In Broward County alone, over 121,216 children under 18 experience chronic pain. Bowtie Kids addresses this issue by offering three programs that provide physical and mental well-being activities and resources throughout the community.
