British Movie Actress hits the Oscar red carpet and is all set to be a hit with two new Comedies too!

British Actress Sandra De Sousa continues to break ground in Hollywood.

Movie actress Sandra De Sousa was invited to walk the red carpet at the 92ND Academy Awards Oscar Ceremony at the Dolby Theater in 2020. Including attending the very prestigious Governors Ball. This event was also live-streamed with highlights shared directly by Sandra, who is a fluent Portuguese speaker, to Brazilian journalist Moema Silva (from TVMais magazine) for her popular international online column.  

Prominent radio host Federico Moritz from MasMusica.fm a radio station (based in Columbia, South America) also interviewed the actress discussing the continued success of her film career, her acting life in Los Angeles, and highlights from her Academy Awards experience. 

Since the Oscars, Sandra has been hard at work on a number of significant projects, including leading an international cast of actors in the TV Series “Interlocked” playing a charming Southern American Doctor, ‘Dr. Hope Faulkner’s whose own personal struggles are amplified when having to reveal the threat of a coming viral pandemic. It proves to be a very powerful performance and certainly timely. 

Other performances such as playing ‘Sasha Pennington’ aspiring British musician, in the true-crime story “6.38: The Death of Ronni Chasen” about the mysterious murder of the respected Hollywood publicist, and in the TV Mini-Series “To the Bitter End: Behind Closed Doors” she plays the private investigator ‘Kay Riley’ who exposes a murderous plot.  

Amongst her more dramatic roles, Sandra has some exciting new comedies which will be hitting the screens very soon, in the TV Series “Girl Chill” she plays the very kooky love matchmaker of love ‘Mallory.’ Writer/actor/director Robert Michael (Glow and Titanic: Sinking The Myths) describes his joy at her brilliant portrayal of the hilarious character he penned. “I just love her as Mallory, it’s truly my favorite character in the show, she brings her to life so magnificently. A definite awards contender.”  

Sandra also recently wrapped on another soon-to-be-released comedic Episodic “SuperZeroes” in which she stars as the elegant tea-drinking therapist Dr. Petunia Pepper. This is a hysterical 1970s reworking of the successful Superhero genre. Three average Superheroes seek therapy from Dr. Pepper, for their very quirky and troubling powers, but this intriguing British therapist may have some very troubling issues of her own. The show is already creating a buzz as a must-watch. 

With three further shows in pre-production; the comedy “Gals Night in,” the action thriller “The Cypher” and comedy-drama “Two Cooks in the Mix,” Sandra’s career is definitely set to hit new heights!
