Citing consumer reviews and competitive pricing, Forbes crowns AFC the current home warranty kings
AFC (short for America’s First Choice) was reviewed among dozens of companies in categories including cost, customer satisfaction, plan options, and other features, receiving a score of 4.7 stars out of 5. 2022 is the second year in a row that AFC has been awarded the title of “best overall.”
The Forbes Home team chalked AFC’s top placement up to a number of contributing factors: “Consistently high consumer review ratings, a wide range of coverage plan options, competitive pricing, and the freedom to choose your own contractor is what sets them above the rest.”
Home Warranties On The Rise
Home warranties are services that help homeowners repair or replace their home’s major systems and appliances when they malfunction.
With home sales skyrocketing and Americans spending more time at home, more people than ever are relying on home warranties to protect their household budgets. It’s easy to see why homeowners want to know which companies they can trust and how their home warranty works.
Choosing the right company means inexpensive, successful home repairs while choosing the wrong company could lead to delays, large repair bills, and uncertainty. That’s why this recent ranking is so important: Forbes Home is dedicated to helping consumers make smart decisions and choose the right products.
Why AFC Scored Highest
Among other things, Forbes Home particularly liked AFC’s service features, such as a 24-hour in-house call center, “excellent” response time, and the homeowner’s ability to choose their own technician. This means that AFC will work with any licensed, insured contractor to make repairs.
Other companies require their customers to work with the technicians that the company assigns. AFC has a nationwide network of technicians but gives their members the flexibility to use a technician they already know or who comes recommended by friends, family, or online review sites.
Forbes Home also noted the company’s customizable coverage and plan lengths. Apart from speedy service, it seems that options and flexibility are in high demand when it comes to home warranties.
A Company Culture
AFC’s flexibility and quality service are primarily a result of how connected and knowledgeable the employees are. “I’m very proud of how everyone here at AFC works together to help our homeowners,” says John Craddock, CEO of AFC Home Club, adding, “we’re always sharing and furthering any idea that will make our service better for our customers.”
Unlike other companies who have overseas call centers and offices scattered across the nation, AFC does everything in-house from their headquarters just outside of Atlanta, GA.
This allows information and ideas to be shared easily among different departments, such as sales, service, and fulfillment. The result is that employees have greater knowledge of the services they offer and a better understanding of what customers want and need.
